Types of Hair

Just as skin type varies from person to person , so does hair.

Oily Hair

Hair  is kept healthy and lustrous by the natural oil produced by the sebaceous gland in  the scalp. When these glands become over - active and produce excess sebum, the hair looks lifeless and  become greasy soon after washing.
Too much conditioner is also taboo. . It flattens oily hair further. You should not activate your oil glands further by over-brushing the hair, Oily hair needs a low heat setting on the dryer to give it the finishing touch. Too much heat activates the sweat glans and makes even freshly washed hair sticky.
Women  with greasy hair should oil their hair once a fortnight and leave it on for not more than half an hour . This will help to nourish the roots, which do  not benefit nutritionally from the oil on the scalp.

Dry Hair

Hair usually becomes  dry because of lack of oil and  water content at the cellular  level on the scalp . Dry hair looks dull and is prone to breaking and splitting because it is to  brittle . This is why any brushing , combing and styling should be done gently. The weather affects hair quickly and exposure to strong sun nad wind will further dry it. Shampoo  your hair only when necessary , using lukewarm water. Never brush hair when it is wet, it will break.

Normal Hair

Healthy , shiny hair has almost always had a good start because of well balanced hormone levels and an ideal internal chemistry,  but to keep it in a fine condition you need to look  after it carefully . Normal hair, however  strong  , can be damaged easily if not cared for properly. Wash  gently only as needed  and condition to keep it shiny.
